Volunteers needed

We could not do what we do without our dedicated volunteers. We are always in need of loving supporters to help us save even more lives. We are grateful for any skills you can bring to help us on our mission.

There are many ways you can make an impact. On this page you'll find some of the important roles we need help with.We encourage young people to get involved! If you are under the age of 18, you will be required to volunteer under the guidance of a parent/guardian.

Remote volunteers

Social media management & networking

Run the Instagram account, reply to messages, comments, post photos, etc.

Rescue coordination

Manage shelter-related communications and complete pull paperwork

Foster assistance

Coordinate with our network of fosters to ensure our dogs are safe and have what they need once they leave the shelter

Adoption assistance

Review adoption applications, interview applicants, and help match dogs with adopters

Fundraising coordination

Manage fundraising and coordinate special campaigns

Grant research & applications

Research and apply for nonprofit grants

Website content & graphic design

Manage website updates and create content for social media

Boulder area volunteers

Photographer & videographer

Take photos and videos of our dogs for the website and social media accounts

Dog grooming

Bathe, brush and trim hair, trim nails, clean ears, etc.

Dog socialization & enrichment

Help train our dogs to learn commands, appropriate leash walking, etc.

Ranch cleaning & upkeep

Day-to-day maintenance, cleaning, construction projects

Local transport

Give dogs their freedom ride from the shelter, shuttle them to their vet appointments, etc.

SoCal area volunteers

Long-distance transport (usually California to Colorado)

Transport our dogs from their foster homes to our sanctuary in the Rockies
